Green Screen
A green screen is simply a screen, which is used with a video application that supports the chroma key effect. The background can be a still image (such as the example on the right) or be a movie. A green screen can be created relatively inexpensively with a bright green cloth or with the use of a pop up screen. The MAISD loans out three green screens - two are pop open screens and one is a larger cloth screen with support set up. Is is important that a classroom has adaquate lighting for the effect to be a success.
The most popular and simpliest way to create a movie using a green screen is with the Green Screen by Do Ink app for iOS ($2.99) or the Green Screen app for Android ($1.49.) For green screen video creating on a Chromebook, I recommend the full license to WeVideo (green screen support is not included in the free trial license.) |
